This week’s XBLA entrants find players smashing opponents in poker and an update to questing for crystals. Poker Smash, from developer Void Star Creations, is another puzzler based around the rules of poker. Thus making it the black hole of time suck activities, and something that will keep gamers occupied until the twilight hour.

Puzzle Smash has players arranging cards into traditional poker hands to clear rows (rather than the usual color matching), and will have online multiplayer support. If you download the game between February 6 and 14 you’ll be able to participate in the Play & Win Sweepstakes. The winner of the contest will receive an Xbox 360 Elite console, and the runners up will get some MS Point cards. For full details and rules head on over here.

Also up this week on Xbox LIVE Arcade is an update to Stainless Games’ Crystal Quest. The update promises to make the game ”slicker and faster than before.” The old leaderboards will be purged once the update goes out, so gloat for the final time this week.
