XSeed Announces The Sky Crawlers For WiiAuthor: William Usher

Originally released in Japan by Namco Bandai, The Sky Crawlers is based on an anime series that was turned into a movie. Technically, it would be considered as a movie-based game. However, considering that the animated project and book have already been released, there were no rushed deadlines or studio execs breathing down the necks of the publishers and developers.
What’s more is that XSeed recently announced that they acquired the North American publishing rights for The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces and that the game will be available for the Wii during the holiday season. ”I’m extremely pleased to be able to confirm The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces for gamers in North America,” said Jun Iwasaki, President of XSEED Games. “The innovative control scheme and gorgeous visuals just go to show what a top-notch development team can do when creating a new game from scratch specifically for Wii.” The nun-chuck and Wii-mote are used in conjunction to fly, maneuver and dogfight. The story is a bit complex, which is a change of pace for a Wii game but anyone interested in checking out the obvious anime story can do so by visiting the Official XSeed Games Website.
