Sega has finally confirmed that PS3 action game Yakuza 3 will be released in the West as well. It's due in Europe and America in March 2010.

Up until now, only the game's Japanese release (February 26th) had been announced. Both of its predecessor games made it to the West, though, so this isn't entirely unexpected. What's surprising is that there's only a small delay between the Japanese and Western launchs. Europe and the US received Yakuza and Yakuza 2 a full nine months after Japan.

Y3 once again stars Kiryu Kazuma. He's left the criminal world behind and is running an orphanage in the Ryukyu Islands. However, like any former criminal in a video game or movie, his seedy past catches up with him.
