Yakuza: Dead Souls is still a couple months away so Sega's trying to hold our attention with trailers. A new trailer released this morning asks players, "Who's Got Your Back?"
In Dead Souls, Tokyo's red light district is being invaded by zombies. It's up to Shun Akiyama, Kazuma Kiryu, Goro Majima and Ryuji Goda to defeat the undead. Each is armed to the teeth. Goda even has a gatling arm grafted to his arm.
Dead Souls is definitely a strange turn for the beat 'em up series. Ill-fitting zombie invasions are usually reserved for secret modes (like Call of Duty: World at War's co-op) or downloadable content (such as Red Dead Redemption's Undead Nightmare add-on). Still, Sega's far from the first game company to sacrifice story for fun.
Sega plans to release Dead Souls in North America and Europe in March.
