NetDragon's third-person online shooter, Absolute Force Online, has had a successful closed-beta test so far. In fact, things are going so well that the company has decided to lift IP region restrictions and enable any and everyone a chance to get in on the closed beta test.
The game itself is a typical arena-style, PVP shootfest with some character customization, item and weapon unlocks and team-focused match-ups. The shooting itself is standard-fare and the character customization leaves a lot to be desired if you're coming off a game like APB: Reloaded, but it's still an okay clone if you're at least looking for something similar.
I don't know how well the game will appeal to those looking for a dedicated shooter, and right now Planetside 2 seems to be the go-to source for a free-to-play shooter, especially if you're looking for something with massively scaled battles, vehicles and lots of non-stop excitement.
You can give AFO a test run while it's still in closed beta right now by registering an account, signing up for a closed beta key and installing the client. You can learn more about the game by paying a visit to the Official Website.
