The Act and Air Mail Discounted On iOS For Independence Day Sale

July 4 is just a couple of days away and, to celebrate, Chillingo has announced an Independence Day Sale for two of its most popular iOS games, The Act and Air Mail.

If there's one things Americans like, it's being 'Merican. But if there are two things Americans like, it's being 'Merican and taking advantage of some fantastic savings. What better way to wait for the hotdogs to get crispy than by playing some new games on your favorite iDevice on the cheap? And, really, who needs fireworks when you've got games you could be playing instead?

The Act is a 2D adventure game in which players take control of Edgar. Made to have a classic movie feel, players must help Edgar save his brother, keep his job and land the woman of his dreams while exploring a beautifully hand-drawn world, talking to NPCs and solving puzzles.

If you're more into the action heavy experience, you might want to check out Air Mail instead. In this 3D flier, players take on the role of a fearless mail pilot with a knack for getting into trouble. More than a delivery man, you have to complete missions, avoid enemy fire and occasionally make the bad guys go boom.

The Act usually goes for $2.99 with Air Mail costing $4.99. For this Independence Day Sale, though, both games can be had for $0.99 a pop. No end date is listed beyond “for a limited time” so, if you're thinking about acting, you might want to get a move on.
