Alien Breed 2: Assault Coming Wednesday To XBLA, Steam

Team17 is on a roll with their Alien Breed series. Seems like every so many weeks something new is happening with this revitalized franchise. Speaking of ‘something new’, Team17 announced that Alien Breed 2: Assault will be arriving for the Xbox Live Arcade and for Steam on PC starting Wednesday, September 22nd.

John Dennis, Head of Design at Team17 Software commented in the press release about the new game and new game modes, stating…

“As the second adventure in the Alien Breed trilogy, we’re really happy with how much ‘Assault’ adds to an already strong gameplay formula. We've got some awesomely destructive new weapons to purchase and upgrade, monstrous new boss battles, and some really exciting set-pieces”

In addition to bigger bosses, more aliens to slaughter and new environments to traverse, Alien Breed 2 will sport a new survivor mode where players will endure wave after wave of increasingly difficult alien hordes. There’s also the returning two-player cooperative mode to keep friends battling the alien infestation and filling the ship’s floors with pools of alien scumbag blood.
