Aliens: Colonial Marines Box Art RevealedAuthor: William Usher

Sega and Gearbox Software unveiled the final box art for the upcoming first-person cooperative shooter, Aliens: Colonial Marines. The cover looks pretty sweet but I'm sure gamers would have preferred some gameplay videos to accompany the news instead.
Recently, Sega and Gearbox announced that the game would be delayed from its original spring release and would be pushed back to the fall. Whether it's for polish or to add additional game content wasn't exactly clarified, however, Gearbox did mention that they didn't want to sacrifice gameplay for the sake of a blueprint, so that sounds somewhat reassuring. I'd also imagine a fall release gives the game better exposure as a multiplatform release on the Xbox 360, PS3 and as a launch title for the Wii U, which may or may not be the next big thing in gaming. As for the box art...well it's box art. The cover consists of a xenomorph's head with open jaws ready to bite something, complete with slobbery, drippy gooey stuff hanging out of its mouth. There is another image within the image of the alien head consisting of four marines, one of which is a female, as they walk down a corridor with a bright light behind them. Obviously, they're so badass that they walk away from the bright light instead of towards it...ooh-rah. You can check out a complete image of the box art below or visit the Official Website to learn more about the game or pre-order it for the Xbox 360, PS3 or PC. ![]() |
