Alvin And The Chipmunks: Chipwrecked Coming This Fall To Home Consoles

If you enjoy keeping the company of high-pitched voiced animals who enjoy singing old-school classics and new-school hits, then you might be interested in the new game from Majesco called Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked. Yeah, I know it sounds bad.

Jesse Sutton, CEO Majesco Entertainment commented in the press release, saying…
“The Alvin brand has proven to be evergreen with universal awareness and growing appeal,” ... “The extensive customization and combination of dancing and singing to contagious Chipmunk music will deliver a full-featured experience based on the upcoming movie that the whole family can enjoy together.”

The game is a combination of dancing and singing with players actually having to dance and sing their way from one location to the next. Chipwrecked is basically an interactive world-tour of sorts, with players traveling around the world to six different locations after Alvin, Simon and Theodore get “chipwrecked” on an island. How exactly they get from one place to the next is beyond me but it uses the logic of a Hollywood movie so…yeah.

Gary Rosenfeld, Senior Vice President, New Media for Fox Consumer Products commented in the press release, saying…
“This game will bring fans even closer to the fun and music of Alvin and the Chipmunks by taking full advantage of the Kinect for Xbox 360,” … “It’s going to be the perfect complement to the upcoming film and we know that fans are going to love it.”

Yes…fans will love it, I’m sure they will. As for the Kinect thing Rosenfeld is talking about, gamers will actually have to use the gesture-based gaming peripheral to sing and dance in the upcoming Alvin game for the Xbox 360.

The game is scheduled to release this fall for the Wii, Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS. You can learn more about this casual, movie-based game by visiting the Official Website.
