Amy Now Available For XBLA; Launching Next Week For PSN

Lexis Numerique's horror-survival game, Amy, is currently available for the Xbox Live Arcade right now just a week ahead of the PlayStation 3 launch of the game which is scheduled to land on the PS Store beginning January 17th.

José Sanchis, CEO of Lexis Numérique commented about the game's recent release, saying...
“AMY might be one of most ambitious digital console games to date, and we are really happy with our partnership with Paul Cuisset and VectorCell,”

The game recently came under fire for a rather odd pricing discrepancy where the PlayStation 3 version of the game cost a few dollars more than the Xbox 360 version of the game, with the pricing sitting at $12.99 on the PS Store where-as the Live Marketplace price nestled at a cool 800 MS Points. After some PR tug-of-war the price was eventually fixed to better represent a more fair, region-based market value.

Pricing and monetary wallet-raping aside, Amy is a thrilling third-person horror-survival game that sees players assuming the role of Lana as they try to protect a special little girl named Amy. While players will be able to fend off infected and hide, the real treat is being able to manipulate Amy's special abilities allowing her to make quick work of any enemies standing in your way.

The game also uses a very unique "stay clean" system where Lana, who is infected, must stay close to Amy in order to keep her infection subdued, otherwise she'll eventually turn into a zombie like the rest of the horde. It's a bleak but interesting game, no doubt.

You can pick up a digital copy of Amy right now for the Xbox Live Arcade for only 800 MS Points. The game is also available for the PlayStation Network if you live in Europe for only £7.99. To learn more about the game feel free to pay a visit to the Official Website.
