Yesterday Sega revealed the Western release dates for Anarchy Reigns. This weekend they've followed up that announcement with new screenshots to show you what you've been missing out on.

Anarchy, which launched in Japan this July, is a fighting game that focuses on large-scale multiplayer. Four-versus-four battles and 16-player free-for-alls are among the many game modes featured. There's also a co-op Survival mode in which players fight waves of A.I. opponents.

Platinum Games, of Bayonetta and MadWorld fame, is the developer of this project. Characters from both games are playable here. They're joined by a new cast of larger-than-life combatants, including a cybernetic ninja and a mutant hunter.

Sega announced a January 8th release date for North America and a January 11th launch for Europe. Every trailer released thus far has looked very impressive so this should be a good title to kick off another year of gaming.
