APB: Reloaded Heads Into Open Beta May 18thAuthor: William Usher

Second time’s the charm, right? Well, in marriage it usually doesn’t work that way but hopefully that maxim will work with Gamers First’s rendition of Realtime World’s All Points Bulletin. The open-world, third-person shooter has undergone some major overhauls, turning it into more of an RPG with cash shop incentives to keep the masses coming back for more. G1 recently sent out word that the big-budget, MMO shooter will be heading into the open beta for public-play beginning May 18th.
In addition to announcing the open beta date up to 40,000 more gamers with active Gamers First accounts will be given access to San Paro. So keep an eye out for an e-mail arriving in your inbox saying that you’ve officially joined the community of cops versus robbers. For those of you who were left with a bad taste after the RTW version of APB, just know that Reloaded is about twenty times better and anyone from the CBT will confirm this. Performance has been enhanced by at least six-fold and the gameplay is so much smoother after G1 really worked over the code. I can’t even begin to explain how awesome the car physics and chase sequences are now…probably about the best out there in terms of an open-world shooter. You can sign-up for free and prep to play…for free. Those who decide to go premium before the open beta hits will receive special discounted bonuses.
