Assassin's Creed 3 Screenshots Attack By Land, Air, Sea

Travel was a very long and arduous process in the days of the American Revolution but you wouldn't know it from Assassin's Creed 3's screenshots. The newest batch of images show Connor striking the British in a variety of locations.

Several of the shots show Connor wielding his signature tomahawk. That's apparently his go-to weapon in this game. He's armed with a variety of other sharp, pointy things (including hidden blades, swords and so forth) but the tomahawk is definitely featured the most in preview assets. I guess it's an easy way of differentiating him from the other Assassins and also emphasizing his Native American heritage.

You may also notice that he's on a ship for two of the images. AC3 will put Connor in command of a Continental Army vessel striking at British ships along the Eastern seaboard. When pelting the British with cannon balls gets boring, you can board their vessel and introduce yourself.

The last of the screenshots shows Connor hunting a deer. The game world will feature hunting clubs that can be joined for exclusive missions and rewards. I'm surprised we haven't seen an angry press release from PETA yet. Maybe they're waiting for the game's October launch.
