GAMING BLEND

Barack Obama Will Need Rescuing In Bad Dudes 2

A new interview has popped on Original Gamer with Pinstripe Games' Joe Modzeleski, who talks a lot about the Kickstarter-funded project, why the game will still use sprites and how a replica of Barack Obama will need some rescuing in Bad Dudes 2.

According to Modzeleski...
President Obama will have a character based on him. He'll have a different name, like Borama or something like that. Something stupidly obvious so you know it's him. But he will be the president and the one you will have to rescue. In the plot you'll find that we made a generic little twist where Ronnie and Borama, or whatever, will have more in common than you might think and the dudes have to unspin that mystery.

His mention of “Ronnie” refers to the president that had to be saved in the original Bad Dudes Vs Dragon Ninja, who was obviously supposed to be based on president Ronald Reagan.

Bad Dudes 2 is still early in development and Modzeleski points out in the interview that their biggest financial hurdle is getting the licensing all wrapped up nice and neat. It's such a shame given that a lot of companies grab the licensing rights during acquisitions, administration and bankruptcies but just sit on the licensed property for no other reason than to sit on it.

If you're curious how the game is coming along in its most crudest form, you can check it out below.

The game will also feature counter-attacks, blocking and evasive maneuvers, similar to Data East's Double Dragon 4. If Pinstripe can actually get Bad Dudes 2 finished and out there, maybe they can find a way to resurrect Two Crude Dudes as well?

You can learn more about the Kickstarter over at their Official Page. To check out the entire interview with Pinstrip Games' Joe Modzeleski, feel free to visit Original Gamer.
