When they launched the paid service Battlefield 3 Premium, DICE said that they would offer exclusive content and events to members. Today they revealed several extras that Premium members will soon have access to.

The barrage of exclusives will begin this weekend with a double XP event. Premium members will get double point gains in all competitive multiplayer on August 25th and 26th. You can help extend the duration by sharing the event on Facebook. Facebook shares can potentially unlock up to 72 additional hours of double XP.

On August 29th, an exclusive gameplay video from the next expansion, Armored Kill, will be released through the Battlelog Premium section. On that same day, a new "Bonus Content" section on Battlelog will launch with a digital artbook. This book will have 24 pieces of concept art from the development of BF3, most of which has never been seen before by gamers.

The last day of the month will be marked by the start of a multiplayer map contest. Players can pitch a level idea to the development team for a chance to win a limited edition BF3 lithograph signed by them. It'd be cool if they end up using that idea for an actual BF3 map but no promises were made on that front. Additional details will be posted on August 31st.

Battlefield 3 Premium, a $49.95 one-time fee, also entitles the buyer to all expansion packs for the game. What's more, they can start playing these expansions two weeks earlier than everyone else. Thus far over 1.3 million players have signed up for the service.

Samples of the art book, a screenshot of the Armored Kill trailer, and an image of the lithograph are below.
