A new cooperative action-RPG designed in similar vein to Diablo has been announced by dtp Entertainment and Deck13 Interactive. The name of the game is Blood Knights and it puts players in control of a vampire hunter and a vampiress as they aim to get rid of a blood-bond while trying to stop a proverbial ultimate evil.
The game puts players in control of protagonists Jeremy and Alysa, as they battle the undead, human villains and vampire baddies. You can check out a brief rundown of the game's plot and some actual gameplay in the debut trailer below.
Like many other ARPGs out there, Blood Knights doesn't let loot-grinding go to waste and you'll be collecting plenty of cool weapons and armor as you progress through the game's Gothic-inspired, medieval levels.
The press release also has a neat snippet worth reading as they explain the game below...
The protagonists will encounter numerous enemies, avoid traps and fight and confront an impressive (and sometimes sexy) array of bosses - each one requiring a unique strategy in order to be defeated. Rich treasure and rewards await those who against all odds are able to fight their way through the wide variety of settings/scenes.
Yes, that's going to keep gamers coming back for more...a sometimes sexy array of bosses. I think that's the first time I've read a press release use “sometimes sexy” bosses as a promotional tag line. Props for originality and hopefully the bosses are sexy and not skanky...if Dante's Inferno taught us anything, it's that skanky bosses will always ensure that both hands are on the controller and both eyes are sometimes fixated on the screen...sometimes.
The game is scheduled to release at the end of the summer for PC and consoles. You can keep up to date with the game by visiting the Official Website.
