BodyCount Screenshots Are All About Guns And Explosions

Codemasters has made it no secret that they want in on the first-person shooter genre and they’re willing to pump out an over-the-top FPS experience to try and garner a little respect and critical acclaim along the way. Codemasters released a handful of new screenshots to help promote their new shooter and if you enjoy looking at big guns and seeing the huge explosions in result of using that big gun, then you’ll probably duly enjoy the new screenshots.

Codemasters’ Studio Guildford is working hard to try to instill “fun” back into the barrel of first-person shooters. Personally, I think the genre needs some breathing room and a bit of a break from all the mimics, clones and wannabes. If innovation isn’t the name of the game then the idea should sit on the shelf for a while...a long while.

Needless to say, players will assume the role of a lone warrior, shooting the crap out of just about any and everyone that gets in the way. The art-style of BodyCount is a mix of Brink meets Bulletstorm. And as you can imagine, the gameplay looks like a combination of Brink meets Bulletstorm. Surprised much?

You can check out the new action-packed screenshots for BodyCount below. I’m really hoping Codemasters ensures that there’s a deep form of originality buried somewhere underneath the been-there, seen-it and played-it facet, otherwise BodyCount will end up being just another shooter for a short life on the shelf and quick trip to the bargain bin.
