Borderlands 2 Screenshots Feature Bombs, Bugs, And Bandits

A trio of screenshots from Borderlands 2 hit the web this weekend. They show off three very different scenes from the upcoming co-op shooter.

In the first shot, the assassin Zer0 battles large insects inside their nest. In the next picture, a demolitions expert prepares an explosive. Rounding out the set is a shot of player characters Salvador and Maya fighting a robot and bandit.

Sharp-eyed readers might notice a big H-shaped base in the background of the last shot. Since the events of the last game, the planet of Pandora has been taken over by the Hyperion Corporation. That base is their headquarters. Hyperion, led by the mysterious Handsome Jack, will continually launch attacks on the population below from that fortress. I imagine you'll get the chance to blow it up by the end of the game, too.

Borderlands 2 will hit the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in September.
