Borderlands 2 Trailer Offers An Introduction To Borderlands By Sir Hammerlock

More than six whole minutes of gameplay get the spotlight in Gearbox Software's latest promotional trailer for Borderlands 2. The trailer gives gamers a good look at the new environments, a few of the bazillion new guns, some of the new skins, some of the new character class skills, some of the new enemies and some of the new everything.

Borderlands 2 is shaping up to be one of the best games of the year and I'm definitely hoping it pulls a win as the best FPS of the year during the VGAs. It would be pretty cool to have something that isn't Call of Duty represent the FPS genre and showcase it's not all about dude-bro lightning-fast shooting fests populated by 10-year-olds with mouths foul enough to make sailors giggle and land-fields blush with envy.

I almost didn't want to watch that trailer so that I would be surprised by the game when it finally launches.

Now, I know that Gearbox has said over and over again that Borderlands 2 will be “hook” friendly for future DLC releases, but I'm more-so interested if the game will be more mod friendly this time around, as opposed to having a very small almost non-existent modding community tucked firmly away on the official Gearbox forums.

If the game is looking like a fresh buy for you then you need not wait too much longer, as the game is scheduled to ship on September 18th in North America and September 21st internationally for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
