Borderlands 2 Videos Explain Endgame Customization, Legendary ItemsAuthor: William Usher

Aside from all the service complaints about Diablo III and the whole DRM and RMAH deal, the one thing gamers complained most about was end-game: there wasn't enough end-game. Well, Gearbox Software has already scaled Borderlands 2 for endgame content and you get to see a little bit of how it works with nearly 30 minutes of gameplay footage. Booyah!
Gametrailers has a breakdown of the footage in two parts and it's some amazing stuff. The videos detail how some of the new weapon mechanics work and even if you thought you knew everything from all those other videos, take note that there's still some stuff that even I didn't know about and I soak this stuff up almost on a daily basis. The new rocket mechanics for Tediore is flatout righteous. I'm not going to spoil anything. Just check it out below, and word of note: sadly it's the 360 version so if you decide to watch it in HD you'll unfortunately be treated to the low-res textures of the 360. Cue sad face. So now that the footage got you all pumped up, you're probably geeked to play some Borderlands 2 eh? Well, do not worry my friend, for the time draws near to whip out your $60 from your wallet like a pantsless flasher in front of McDonalds. To make matters better (or worse for your wallet) it's already been confirmed that Borderlands 2 is receiving exceedingly high marks from popular gaming publications...although, given the way the AAA business works in the gaming industry, I guess that should come as no surprise to anyone. Still, Borderlands 2 looks legit. Gearbox and its president Randy Pitchford has aimed to be as upfront and transparent about the content as possible. I've got to give them a standing ovation to that because all their PR talking points have usually been followed with real-world video footage and examples and as gamers, we honestly could not have asked for a better marketing campaign than the one Gearbox and 2K offered for Borderlands 2. No bull, just bullets. Borderlands 2 is scheduled to release on September 18th in North America and later that week on the 21st internationally.
