A few new trailers were released for the upcoming first-person shooter from Ubisoft and Techland, Call of Juarez: The Cartel. Each of the trailers depicts a little back-story and info on each of the main characters in the game.

The game itself doesn’t seem remotely interesting or much of an advancement on the standard-fare first-person shooter. However, the unique aspect of Call of Juarez is in its three player co-opetition modes as well as the dynamic fallout between three very independent main characters.

Other than the friction spawned between the protagonists I just don’t see Call of Juarez being much of anything other than a typical run-and-gun shooter. Still, if the lack of shooter titles being released throughout the summer has you bummed, with the exception of Duke Nukem: Forever, then maybe Call of Juarez: The Cartel will be a good placeholder until some of the bigger titles land this fall.
