Construct 2 Now On Greenlight, Supports Windows 8

We've been hearing a lot about Windows 8 and a lot of it isn't very good, well, if you're judging by people like Gabe Newell and Markus “Notch” Persson, two names that resonate hugely in the world of video game nerdism. However, some companies aren't as afraid of evolving and adopting with the changes in time and game creation toolset Construct 2 will bridge together common enemies, Steam and Windows 8.

The design tool suite is currently available in the software section of Steam's Greenlight to offer gamers and game designers a convenient way to build and construct HTML 5 games on the fly. Check it out in the video below.

The tool set lets you drag and drop with ease, as demonstrated in the video tutorial above. It's a great way for beginner and advanced designers to hop into the design space without requiring a ton of technical expertise or a plethora of additional third-party licensed software to bring your idea to life.

For now, Construct 2 only lets you build your projects in 2D but there's nothing against designing 3D models and then snap-shotting them for use in 2D games, just like the old method that was used quite often in old games during the early 1990s.

The Windows 8 Exporter is also available for those planning on making their games for Microsoft's latest operating system. You can learn more about the W8 Exporter by visiting the Scirra Website. You can upvote Construct 2 on Steam's Greenlight right now if you're digging the concept by visiting the Official Steam Greenlight Page.
