Crytek Unleashes PAX Trailer For Warface

The newest promo trailer for Warface includes a brief look at the game's varied and flavorful locations as well as the game's equally varied and unique weapon loadouts. The trailer is well paced and contains plenty of nonstop action and lots of cooperative teamwork on display, but don't expect anything other than quick snippets of gameplay.

During said quick snippets the one thing I noticed was that the team tactics and camaraderie was well intact for Warface, with lots of guys having each others backs as opposed to a lot of lone-wolf, run-and-gun gameplay usually featured in free-to-play first-person shooters of this kind. Get a glimpse of it for yourself in the trailer below.

The graphics look pretty snazzy. For those that don't know this is the flagship free-to-play title for Crytek's CryEngine 3 and will be the first of many upcoming games from Crytek that will also be free-to-play.

According to Crytek, all future games should be free-to-play, but I don't know if that's all that great a thing to stand behind, given that not everyone wants their experiences governed by pay-to-win cash shops or commercial breaks every 10 minutes.

There's still no details on what the cash shop will be like exactly for Warface and judging by the standard of gameplay from the footage we've seen, it looks like it will be another Combat Arms or A.V.A, just with better graphics and (hopefully) better gunplay.
