Darksiders 2 Summer Of Death Promotion Launches

THQ has rolled out a special giveaway called "Summer of Death" to rack up more Darksiders 2 pre-orders. For a select period of time, gamers can get a free piece of swag.

Pre-order customers who complete their order before July 8th will get a Darksiders 2 t-shirt. Yes, a t-shirt. Less intense than the title "Summer of Death" suggested, isn't it? I guess the THQ lawyers weren't happy with swag more closely associated with death.

The shirt says "Summer of Death" on the front. Now, you could play it off like this is the name of a heavy metal rock festival. However, the Darksiders 2 logo on the back would spoil your deception. You'll never get a rock 'n roll girlfriend now. Never.

To get your free shirt, you'll need a receipt, the barcode from your copy of Darksiders 2 and a $4.50 check or money order to pay for shipping. You have until September 1st to send all of this in. The t-shirt will be mailed to you within a month.

Darksiders 2 launches on August 14th. Hope you remember to keep your receipt that long.
