Darksiders 2 Trailer Explores Kingdom Of The Dead

A new series of Darksiders 2 videos promises to showcase the various locations from the hack-and-slash game. The first installment of the series previews the Kingdom of the Dead, an area from the middle of the game.

The Kingdom of the Dead is "the desert level." It's not just your average desert, though. It's a wasteland with floating fortresses and an airship that acts as the trade hub. The Kingdom is a purgatory where the recently deceased come to be judged. Now that the apocalypse has been initiated, there's a lot of extra traffic

Death will have to ask the King of the Dead for help in his quest. In order to be granted an audience, he must enter the arena and emerge victorious. The video gives a brief look at the grotesque beast you'll need to defeat there.

Vigil Games says that the game world of Darksiders 2 is 3-4 times bigger than that of the first game. There's plenty of material, then, for the next three entries in the series.
