The Darkspore beta is now available through Steam. The free taste of this upcoming action RPG ends on Friday so better get it while you can.

Steam also announced that Darkspore will be available in a four-pack, much like other co-op games. Buying the four-pack through Steam will get you four copies of the game for the price of three. The announcement notes that this bundle is an "exclusive pre-purchase" offer.

Pre-purchasing a single copy or the four pack will get you an automatic upgrade to the Limited Edition. The Limited Edition includes an early character unlock (Maldri, a Quantum hero) as well as three pieces of stat-boosting armor. How can you say no to Rarified Zod's Darkmatter Starhelm?

Darkspore will be released on April 26th in North America and on the 28th in Europe.
