Datura hit the PlayStation Network a few weeks ago, giving players a bizarre glimpse into the concepts of mind-altering drugs and death. At least I THINK that’s what was going on. The game is coo-coo-bananas was designed to leave a lot of room for interpretation. Whether you played the game or not, though, today you’ll be able to enjoy the soundtrack free of charge.

Plastic Studios’ Game Director Michal Staniszewski recently dropped by the PlayStation Blog to discuss the deeper meanings of his Move-infused game, Datura. Don’t get too excited if you were hoping for concrete answers, though. While Staniszewski links to a couple of player analyses he says come close to uncovering the game’s deeper meanings, the big questions are left unanswered.

A bit out there, right? But while you’re digging into the meat of the game’s symbolism, you might notice that nifty soundtrack running through the background. According to Staniszewski, lots of fans have inquired about the game’s musical selection and, as a result, it’s being provided free of charge during today’s regularly scheduled PSN update.

Free music from a trippy, melancholy game? Yes, please.
