Looking for a gameplay walkthrough guide of Dead Rising 3? Need help finding out what you have to do and where you have to go and how to uncover that super rare whatever-it-is you're looking for? Well, a new video walkthrough series for Microsoft and Capcom Vancouver's open-world, post-apocalyptic zombie game has gone live, catering to all your curious, dead-end, inquisitive and desperate needs.

GamesHQMedia rolled out the latest walkthrough alongside the official launch of the Xbox One, Dead Rising 3 and every other high-profile title releasing abreast with Microsoft's third-generation console for the eighth generation of home console gaming. Boy, that was a mouthful.

The first video in the walkthrough series is only 14 minutes long and covers the game's intro and first playable chapter, which I must say, isn't all as bad as I thought it would be. As many of you know, the majority of AAA titles from big-budget studios treat gamers like grade-A, brain-tardy hooligans. I think Need for Speed: Rivals is a special kind of patronizing, insofar that not only is the tutorial obnoxiously omnipresent but there's no way to avoid it, skip it or click out of it. It's one of the worst designed tutorials ever designed... ever!

Thankfully, with Dead Rising 3 the game's intro tutorial is pretty straightforward, and surprisingly enough, the game doesn't strip too much control away from the player. It was almost opposite of what I was expecting. Heck, the game deserves a score point just for not making the opening tutorial sequence obnoxious.

What's more is that there's a bit of freedom in the starting moments of play – not so much in where you go, but how you do what you do. Players can pick up a bunch of different objects from within the area and dispose of the zombies rather easily. There's very limited abeyance of player control exercised throughout the opening of the game, and that bodes well for players who may have grown tired of all the other titles out there that say things like “Logan, go here; do these things!”

While the game still suffers from unforgivable frame rate issues, it at least tries to make up for it with a lot of options and freedom. Nevertheless, this game definitely won't be for everyone, as it eventually loses the sort of awesome no-holds-barred thrills from the opening sequence and trades them in for more laughs and dark comedy sprinkled throughout the adventure.

You can watch the videos above that provide video walkthroughs for each of the game's missions.

You can pick up your very own copy of Dead Rising 3, exclusively for the Xbox One, right now. For more information on the game, feel free to visit the official website.
