Dead Space 3 Screenshots Introduce Feeders

One of the signature elements of the Dead Space series is its extensive collection of disgusting enemies. The latest batch of screenshots adds a new set of necromorph to the list: Feeders.

You know how your parents always told you not to eat dead necromorph? Well, according to GI, a Feeder is a human who didn't heed this advice. The colonists of Tau Volantis, due to starvation or the worst bet ever, decided to dine on necromorph flesh and were turned into necromorphs themselves.

Fighting these creatures does not sound fun at all. For starters, they like to hang out in dark places. What's more, they attack in packs. If one spots Isaac, he'll alert the rest of his brood and you'll have a massive fight on your hands.

On the plus side, these enemies give players a chance to show off their stealth skills. Feeders use sound to navigate so they can be misled by throwing objects. Through a little bit of trickery (and a co-op partner who isn't an idiot), players can avoid a fight altogether.
