Deadliest Warrior: Ancient Combat Screenshots Released

345 Games (not to be confused with 343 Industries or 38 Studios) along with Spike TV released some brand new screenshots for the upcoming weapon-based brawler, Deadliest Warrior: Ancient Combat. The newest game in the surprise-hit fighting game franchise offers up more weapons, warriors and the deadliest combat around...next to Mortal Kombat of course.

One of the highlights of Deadliest Warrior is that players can pick some of their favorite real-life warriors and warrior types and do battle in one-on-one combat using a variety of weapons, attacks and special abilities. What's more is that just like in the TV show of the same name, the weapons and combat results in deadly consequences for whoever is on the receiving end of some of those vicious strikes and brutal swings. In fact, it's possible to maim opponents on the game and still have the fight keep going. Hardcore might be a bit of an understatement.

The latest iteration of the fighting game franchise combines the content of the previous Deadliest Warrior games, as well as adds 30 brand new weapons, all the stages from the series as well as a brand new level called 'The Graveyard'.
