There aren’t many games out there like the Battlefield/Battlefront series. I’m not sure if it’s a difficult task for developers to design an appropriate game engine for those kind of games, or if the framework for the games are just a hassle to perfect. In any case, Gas Powered Games is currently hard at work on a noteworthy, team-based RPG action game.

From the people who brought you Supreme Commander and Dungeon Siege comes the next step in RTS, RPG, team-based action games. Demigod sees players using wit, tactics and a heck of a lot of brute strength to do battle in death match type arenas.

The entire thing is set in a mystical land that features gods walking amongst mere mortals. And no, this is not based on the Blend Games staff and the trip to the New York Comic-Con. Players will actually control a demigod and do battle in arenas where the demigod will level-up and earn skills.

Accompanying the demigod into battle are minions that can be used to help the demigod attain victory. Much like Star Wars: Battlefront there are control points that must be…well…controlled. This gives players an advantage on the field of battle, ultimately turning the tide of war toward complete domination.
