Deus Ex: Human Revolution’s director’s cut CG trailer was recently voted as the number one trailer of all time. It’s a trailer that supersedes the standard of most game trailers by incorporating a lot of political, social and technological premises set against a cyber-noir future with lots of action and was really brought to life thanks to an amazing song called “Icarus” by Michael McCann, which appears on the new Deus Ex: Human Revolution soundtrack.
Well, following up on the user-voted win for Deus Ex at GameTrailers, is news that composer, McCann, has been nominated by the Canadian Game Developers Talent Awards committee for his soundtrack on Human Revolution. And following up on this news is that Amazon has also released the official release date for the availability of the new soundtrack as well. I bet Eidos is feeling really proud right now, eh? So let’s recap: Gamers voted for Deus Ex: Human Revolution as having the greatest trailer of all time, and the composer of the song used in that trailer has been nominated by the CGD Awards committee for best video game soundtrack, and now gamers can purchase the soundtrack for themselves come November 15th. You can learn more about the CGD nominees over at the Official Talent Awards Website, or you can pre-order the soundtrack from Amazon for $12.95. You can check out our extended interview with Michael McCann and his work on the Deus Ex soundtrack right here at Gaming Blend. Back to top
