Diablo 3 Wizard Invulnerability Hotfixed, Replaced By Barbarian Bug

Earlier this week, Diablo 3 players stumbled upon a bug that let Wizard characters shrug off damage. Blizzard has since fixed the problem but now there's another problem.

"We are currently rolling out a hotfix for a recent bug regarding invulnerable Wizards," said a Blizzard forum post late last night. "We will continue to carefully monitor this issue and welcome anyone with information about bugs or hacks to submit a detailed report to our Hacks Team by emailing hacks@blizzard.com, or by completing the Hacks Report web form."

The latest bug concerns the Barbarian class. It's not as overpowered as the Wizard god mode but it's potent nonetheless. As a result of the glitch, your hits will restore 8% of your life. What's more, the bug is pretty simply to activate:
  • Make sure you are running Furious Charge with Dreadnought Rune on your build.
  • Before triggering the opening cinematic, use Furious Charge to charge in before it starts.
YouTube user MetaSerge, author of the instructional video below, says that the exploit will remain active until you use Furious Charge. Dying will also stop the bug. Hopefully you're not dying with such a big edge, though.

Blizzard hasn't commented on the Barbarian bug yet but they'll no doubt take the same approach as they did with the Wizard bug: roll out a hotfix and ban any known offenders.
