Due out this December for Windows 7 compatible PCs, Colin McRae’s DiRT 2 is one of the few games that will empower players and graphics whores with one of the best looking off-road racing experiences this year. Codemasters recently released a new video showcase trailer for DiRT 2 that’s all about the eye-candy supported by DirectX 11.
According to the press release, Bryan Marshall, chief technical officer, Codemasters commented saying … “The opportunity to enter into a strategic relationship with Microsoft to fuse key DirectX 11 technologies with Codemasters’ EGO Engine and set the new standard in race gaming on home computers was irresistible,” ... “By taking advantage of the DirectX 11 feature set included in Windows 7, including hardware tessellation, multi-threading and Shader Model 5.0, we will deliver the most immersive and realistic off-road racing experience yet and set the technical benchmark in the genre.”I admit, the game looks pretty darn good. I’m not entirely sure it looks better than Gran Turismo 5, though. As you may have seen before here at Blend Games, GT5 is definitely setting benchmarks of its own. Anyway, you can check out the new trailer for DiRT 2 below or visit the Official Website for more information on the game.
