Arkane Studios sent out the fourth and final developer diary for Dishonored today. The development team discusses what it feels like to finally launch the game after years of development.
In Dishonored, players take on the role of an assassin. They're given a wide amount of choice in how they perform their missions, though. They have many powers and items at their disposal, and can be either stealthy or bloodthirsty. "We love this type of a game with a stealth element and action and all the simulation behind the player powers," said co-creative director Harvey Smith. "It's only once every blue moon we get to work on this type of game." Dishonored's premise has drawn comparisons to Deus Ex, Thief and BioShock among others. That's a very elite group of games to be likened to. Hopefully the game is built well enough to live up to the considerable hype. We're among the people holding out hope for Dishonored. In fact, we crowned it the best game of this year's E3. Back to top
