Dishonored TV Ad Seeks Vengeance

During last night's episode of Face Off on SyFy, Bethesda aired a new commercial for their upcoming title Dishonored. The short ad quickly introduces the story and gameplay of the assassination game.

The TV spot is only 30 seconds long but manages to convey a lot in that time period. You play a former prisoner who becomes a masked assassin. Using stealth, weapons and supernatural powers, you seek revenge against those who wronged you.

The full story is slightly more complicated. Players take on the role of Corvo, a former bodyguard to the Empress. He was framed for her murder and locked up. He is then visited by a supernatural being known as The Outsider, who gives him his supernatural abilities. He uses them to escape and then hunt down the conspirators who killed his former boss.

Dishonored will hit North America on October 9th and Europe on the 12th.
