Atari decided to pull the veil from co-op RPG Neverwinter today. They released a trailer with a good helping of gameplay footage.

Neverwinter lets players build a character based on five classic Dungeons & Dragons classes: fighter, wizard, rogue, ranger, and cleric. They can join forces with up to four other players or A.I. companions. Much like BioWare's Neverwinter Nights game, this title will come with a toolset (called "Forge") that lets you build your own quests and share them online.

The developer on the game is Champions Online creator Cryptic Studios. Atari just recently sold them to Perfect World Entertainment. However, it seems for now they're staying on as publisher.

Last we heard, Neverwinter was slated for a late 2011 release.
