The Wii U version of Batman: Arkham City won't be a mere port of the 2011 open-world game. Instead, the Dark Knight's debut on Nintendo's upcoming console will have new features utilizing the GamePad's touchscreen.
The Armored Edition of Batman: Arkham City will feature a BAT mode to enhance the game's fights. Tapping the gamepad at the right time will give the player's attack more damage. Your damage will continue to increase with each successful tap. The touchscreen also allows players to more easily use Batman's various gadgets. You can select items on the screen and then use them. For example, you can set off your explosive foam with a tap. You can also remotely controlled your Batarang using the motion controls of the controller. Arkham City was one of the best games of 2011 so it's a nice addition to the Wii U's third-party lineup. Will these new features make the game new again for people who have already played Arkham on other platforms, though? We'll have to wait and see. Back to top
