E3 2012: ZombiU Gameplay Footage Features One-Bite Deaths

The mature shooter from Ubisoft, ZombiU, features a horror-survival environment where gamers must survive zombies who bite you once and then you get infected and die. It's not like you can afford to get swarmed like in other zombie survival titles.

The video is short and sweet but we get to see quite a few things on display, namely the inventory screen where players will have to collect supplies, weapons and ammo in order to survive the zombie onslaught. Another cool concept is that zombies have to break through areas, so players can use their ingenuity to block out areas from attacks.



The game shows a ton of promise. The idea that you can become zombified rather easily and the game puts a greater focus on survival means that it at least offers a great alternative to the other zombie shooting games.

We still didn't get to see enough footage to really be able to tell what the gameplay pace will be like...will it be closer to Dead Island or closer to the line of Left 4 Dead. Will it be a tactical survival shooter, or a fast-paced run-and-gun shooter? Will scavenging be left to the player or will it be streamlined into the environments?
