In January, the long-running magazine Electronic Gaming Monthly was shut down. Less than a year later, the magazine will make its comeback.

"Plans put in motion today for EGM to return on December 1...," EGM Steve Harris tweeted earlier late last night. "Plans in motion" is not the most concrete phrase so it's possible the date could still change.

Harris acquired print and online publishing rights from EGM's former parent company Ziff Davis in May. EGM was put to pasture when UGO declined to purchase it from Ziff when they scooped up the rest of the 1UP Network (1UP.com, GameVideos, MyCheats, GameTab).
