EGM's Lost Issue Goes DigitalAuthor: Pete Haas

The Hearst Corporation suspended publication of Electronic Gaming Monthly in January 2009, leaving EGM's February 2009 issue to rot. However, the revived EGM has now released the "lost issue" in digital form.
Gamers who register over at EGMNow.com will be able to read the February 2009 issue in all of its outdated glory. While you may not have any interest in reading a preview of Halo Wars, it will give you a taste of the EGMi format. EGMi is a digital publication that offers "bonus access to hours of video, audio, downloadable content, and other exclusive programming." EGMi will be released weekly while the print EGM will be published on a monthly basis. The EGM website is currently offering subscriptions for 6 print/26 digital issues and 12 print/52 digital issues. The latter is priced at $24.99. Last we heard, EGM's resurrection was going to take place in March. That didn't happen but perhaps the release of the "lost issue" is an indication that the launch is about to occur. |
