Today the PC finally received the role-playing game Fable III, first released for the Xbox 360 last fall. PC gamers can pick it up through Games for Windows Marketplace, Steam, and retailers across North America for $49.99.

Fable III takes place 50 years after the events of Fable II. The hero of Fable II, has died and Albion is now ruled by their eldest son Logan. The player takes on the role of Logan's younger sibling. He or she must lead a rebellion against their tyrannical brother and restore order to the kingdom.

The Windows version is a bigger beast than the Xbox 360 360 edition. It comes with a "Hardcore" mode to challenge more elite players as well as full 3D support. The in-game content and quests from the 360 Limited Collector's Edition are also included, as well as the post-launch add-ons "Traitor's Keep" and "Understone Quest Pack."
