Final Fantasy XIII-2 Now Available For Xbox 360, PS3

published: 2012-01-31 14:27:52
Square Enix's second Final Fantasy XIII game is currently available for the Xbox 360 and PS3 right now in North America. The game is also expected to launch on retail shelves in Europe and PAL territories by the end of this week.

Square heard the complaints of gamers regarding Final Fantasy XIII and have ventured to create a more varied, in-depth game that actually focuses on gameplay instead of linear, streamlined cinematics. FFXIII-2 sports an enhanced combat system, the freedom to actually explore towns and areas, as well as more character skill customization and micromanagement that originally made the series so beloved in the first place.

The game also features additional mini-games, gambling, races and a few gimmicks to enhance the gameplay variety thanks to Moogle. The cinematic action sequences aren't a bad thing either.

What's more is that Square Enix has an aggressive post-launch DLC plan for the game to keep hungry fans fed with a hefty helping of content with things such as the Battle Coliseum, which enables gamers to go head-to-head against friends using characters from previous Final Fantasy games. The first piece of DLC will be available on February 7th for the Xbox 360 and February 8th for the PS3.

You can pick up Final Fantasy XIII-2 right now for $59.99. Need more info? Well we don't have a review up yet but you can find out more by paying a visit to the Official Website.
