Red 5 Studios has a huge live-streaming event planned for the free-to-play MMO Firefall, called the Firefall Fest. The event will run between October 22nd to October 27th and some of the celebrities helping unveil brand new content for the game will include people such as this generation's Bruce Campbell, Nathan Fillion, internet sensation Felicia Day as well as others such as Wil Wheaton, Team Unicorn, Extra Credits and Complexity Gaming.
I'm not sure who a lot of these “celebrities” are outside of a few but I'm sure the hip kids will think it's cool that content is being unveiled by people they think are cool, so that's all that really matters. The content that will be revealed next week is highly under wraps and it will be exposed to the public with a lot of PR fanfare.
In addition to making announcements about the game, Red 5 has teamed with a number of other sponsors to give away a ton of cool gear, including an AMD power desktop, a Razer gaming laptop, a Razer Taipei ambidextrous mouse, a mouse pad (lame), and a Razer Black Widow Tournament Edition keyboard (sweet).
During the Firefall Fest anyone who pre-orders or buys into the Founders pack will be given immediate beta access to the game, enabling you to hop into the world and start shooting, looting resources and grinding with (or without) your friends.
You can learn more about the founders pack by visiting the Official Website. The live streams will take place each day between the 22nd and 27th between 10am and 1pm, and 3pm and 6pm. Be sure to tune in to the Red 5 Twitch TV channel each day to see when your favorite celebrity will be making an appearance.
