Flightless, Co-op Platforming Game With No Jumping Heads To Greenlight

published: 2012-10-16 12:33:24
Combining the likes of Warioware with Lode Runner and an art-style all its own, Flightless is a unique new platforming game aiming to get greenlit on Steam's Greenlight service, featuring two ducks who've had their wings clipped and thus, they can't jump or fly, making their journey that much more difficult.

Don't feel bad for the birds, though. The two ducks have been barred from flight due to their thieving antics and in place of being able to jump or fly the duo is limited to only using vertical-morphing ladders. Check it out in the trailer below.

One of the things I like most about Flightless is that Nitrome focused mostly on clean graphics as opposed to trying to specifically imitate a popular (or not so popular) 16-bit platformer. While the game has obvious gleaming towards the likes Blackthorne meets Donkey Kong meets Mario, there's still a lot of individuality running throughout the game that helps give it a distinct look and feel.

I'm liking what I'm seeing and if you like it too, feel free to upvote this game on Steam's Greenlight. As you may have heard, 21 games have recently been approved, so every vote counts. If you'd like to see this game on Steam's store be sure to visit the Official Greenlight Page.
