A new online multiplayer, combat-focused PvP game has already garnered quite a bit of positive feedback from the gaming community. To help celebrate all the positive celebration over the Kickstarter getting off to a good start, Dark Vale Games has released new alpha footage of their PvP-based action title.
The game recently took to Kickstarter just a few days ago and has just under 27 days to go. It's quite impressive the amount of feedback the team has received from top-end sites like IGN, GamesRadar, Massively and MMORPG.com. The very idea that such a project has picked up so much support in such a small amount of time while coming out of nowhere is quite promising.

It's hard for me right now to get excited based on a trailer like that. It looks all right, but it seems like a less team-based version of Savage. The gimmick to the game is that it focuses on easy-to-learn, hard-to-master mechanics while affording players with very little time on their hands to jump right in and enjoy themselves without having to grind. I kind of like that idea, it makes sense, especially for players who can't afford to join guilds and dungeon raids every night, which is sometimes the case with a lot of MMOs out there.
As mentioned, though, the combat isn't terribly original, it just kind of seems to be like an MMO where you're hopping into the action with a high-level character. I guess when more beta footage releases we'll have a better grasp on what the final product will look like. I mean, could you imagine if we judged DayZ solely on it being an alpha? Exactly.
You can learn more about Forge or contribute to the project, which is sitting at $30,653 out of $200,000 as of the writing of this article, by paying a visit to the Official Kickstarter Page.
