Bethesda will probably never live down trying to sell horse armor for Oblivion. They can be generous at times too, though. They plan on releasing the first Brink downloadable content for free.
"To show our appreciation for your support of Brink, we will be making the first DLC for Brink available for free when it is released," said Bethesda. "This DLC is planned for June and will offer additional maps and new content for players." Developer Splash Damage is also continuing to release patches for the game. The most recent update for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions allows players to join 4v4 maps instead of 8v8, in hopes that this reduces lag. A larger console patch will be released soon. The PC version, meanwhile, just received a patch addressing AI, GPU, and server issues. Brink, a multiplayer-oriented shooter, was developed by Enemy Territory: Quake Wars studio Splash Damage. It was released in North America on May 10th. Back to top
