Free Halo 4 Avatar Armor Available Through Xbox Live Election 2012 Coverage

Microsoft wants to make sure that gamers throughout the United States are actually following this year's presidential election. They're giving out a small reward to Xbox 360 owners who watch the debates through Xbox Live.

Xbox Live will have real-time coverage of the presidential and vice presidential debates taking place on October 3rd, 11th, 16th and 22nd. Each will run from 9 to 10:30 EST, or 6 to 7:30 PST. In order to get the reward, you'll have to watch at least 30 minutes of three of the four debates.

The fabulous reward, other than the satisfaction of doing your civic cuty, is a Halo 4 Warrior Armor for your Xbox Live Avatar. I would've expected a George Washington or Uncle Sam outfit but nope, you're getting golden space marine armor. I suppose that's more desirable to gamers.

If you fulfill the conditions for receiving the armor, you'll get an email with a download code "on or around" November 1st. Election Day itself will take place on November 6th - just sayin'.
