The free-to-play MMORPG, Golemizer, by independent game developer, Dave Toulouse, has been on the receiving end of some snazzy upgrades. Such upgrades include the newly implemented feature of user-created quests. Now anyone can go on any Joe Schmoe’s adventure, really.
The 2D, steam-punk themed, MMORPG is a fast growing web-browser game. Since being released in September, there have been more than 7000 user accounts created. That’s some pretty good numbers for non-advertised, independent game production. Due to its volume of users, the custom-quest content was added to give players an even more engaging experience. As if the hours-on-end of gameplay in each day weren’t enough for dedicated gamers.
Once the content has been created (i.e., including dungeon crawls, towns, NPCs, etc.,) the custom-quests must be approved by the administrators. After the approval process and done and finished, the quest(s) are then made publicly available through the game, as if it had always been there. That’s some sweet stuff. You probably want the link to the website now so you can jump right into the game, eh? Or you’re probably just itching to get some user-created content out there? Well, no worries because here’s the link: The Link To The Official Golemizer Website.
