G.I. Joe: Four More Screenshots For Non-Gamers

published: 2009-04-02 17:05:31
Honestly, you can’t be much of a gamer to have sat through the gameplay footage or looked at the new screenshots of G.I. Joe and still think the game is worth playing. Either you’re extremely sympathetic toward the developers and don’t want them to lose money, or you’ve never played video games before.

The new screenshots are nothing short of breathtakingly bland. Seriously, I just don’t get this game. I’m not sure what happened or how it came to be the way it is but EA doesn’t have a lot of time to fix this game. Alternatively, maybe the game was made to be this way to pay homage to the classic arcade G.I. Joe, which basically seen gamers running around for about half-an-hour blowing the crap out of absolutely everything.

G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra is quite similar, yet not. The game lacks the same kind of over-bearing edge of action featured in the original arcade game and I fear the shoddy animations and disjointed combat mechanics will really hurt the game in the long run. Still, there’s hope it may not turn out that bad (highly doubt it, though). And you can check out the new screenshots below and look for the game to release this summer for major gaming platforms.
